Performance Measurement of the ATLAS Local Monitor Box with the Liquid Argon Subdetector

چکیده

The concept of the "Local Monitor Box" (LMB) as a modular building block is described. The first implementation consists of a CAN bus node and a 16+7 bit delta-sigma ADC for the readout of Pt100 high precision temperature sensors. The CANOpen standard is employed as high-level software protocol. The general implementation will be discussed and results from tests performed with the ATLAS LAr calorimeter are presented. Quality Control of Optical Transmitters for the ATLAS Liquid Argon Calorimeter

A quality control test is performed on nearly 2000 custom optical transmitters for use in the Liquid Argon Calorimeter of the ATLAS detector. More than 90% of these optical transmitters passed the test and have been installed in the calorimeter readout system.
